Owner, Critical Care Doctor

Dr. Matthew Tenwolde

Dr. Matthew Tenwolde trained at the #1 School of Veterinary Medicine, U.C. Davis, graduating in 2007. Then did additional training at The Ohio State University with a medical and surgical internship. He returned to UC Davis as an attending, teaching the next generation of veterinarians at a tertiary care medical center. He went on to start an emergency and specialty care hospital with colleagues in Sacramento, California. Later seeking even more training with a surgical internship. Now he brings his expertise to the lovely Lowcountry, offering a level of care to the area that was not previously here.

Dr. Jeanice Lane

Dr. Jeanice Lane graduated from The University of Georgia College of Veterinary in 2019. Originally from Greenville, South Carolina, Dr. Lane is a second generation veterinarian whose passion for helping animals was ignited at a young age. Dr. Lane moved to the Lowcountry with her husband, 4 dogs and 2 cats in 2019. Dr. Lane’s special interests include critical care medicine, preventative care, and owner education. In her free time Dr. Lane loves to settle down with her chihuahua, Ramone, and a good book. You may also find her playing on the beach with her other 3 dogs, Tug, Finn and Foxy.

Dr. Katherine Hamlet

Dr. Hamlet is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine and moved to the Bluffton area with her husband in 2014. She first learned her love of medicine from her parents, both nurses in the U.S. Army, but always had a special interest in working with animals. She enjoys the unique pace and variety of patient care seen as an emergency veterinarian and spends her down time spoiling her own dogs Jasper and Cheyenne and cat Vidalia.

Dr. Joshua Duvall

Dr. Duvall is a 1998 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary medicine.  He and his wife (Monica) owned and ran a practice in Lebanon, TN for 20 years before moving to the Low Country permanently.  They love to travel to music festivals and concerts in their free time.  They have two sons: Griffin (25) and Gavin (24) as well as a shi tzu named “Hattie” and two cats, “Boo” and “Petty”.

Dr. Kaitlin Iulo has been a local of Hilton Head since 2000 and is proud to serve the community she grew up in. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating with honors in 2018. Dr. Iulo enjoys the fast-paced nature of emergency work and the diverse case load. Her professional interests include internal medicine, feline medicine, neurology, and integrative medicine. 

Dr. Iulo is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA), Certified Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapist (CVSMT), and Certified Veterinary Massage and Rehabilitation Therapist (CVMRT). When she is not at CVCC, Dr. Iulo is seeing patients through her acupuncture practice, Healing Touch Animal Acupuncture (https://healingtouchanimalacupuncture.com/) . She loves to learn and is always exploring new options to offer her patients.
